I will be delivering calendars this week to those who preordered them. I do have extras so let me know if you would like one. All proceeds go towards the Weekend to End Breast Cancer.

The lovely ladies of the Beauty of the Cause have created a spectacular travel-themed calendar for 2010. I had the honor of posing for one of the pictures (but won’t tell you which month because, after all, the pictures are a bit ‘revealing’ – but very tastefully done). I believe that most, if not all, models in this year's calendar are breast cancer 'thrivers'.

I am taking preorders for the calendars and they will be available some time in October (which is Breast Cancer awareness month). The printer is asking for their money within 30 days this year so we’ll be scrambling the first few weeks to sell calendars and collect the money. Please email me at

Beauty of the Cause

I spent this afternoon getting my chest painted. No, I don’t mean a chest of drawers; I mean my actual CHEST.

2010 will be the fourth year that Emilie Robertson and Nancy Davis have published The Beauty of the Cause calendar and I agreed to be a “model”. All proceeds go to the Weekend to End Cancer, a 60 km walk benefiting the Cancer Foundation.

Sylvie Lalonde is the artist and Jen Davidson photographs the pictures that will appear in the calendar. They managed to make sitting topless for over 2 hours in Emilie’s kitchen an interesting and fun experience!

In case you were wondering, no, this picture is not of me (I wish!). It's the cover of the 2009 calendar. In the interest of modesty, I'm keeping which month I'm featured in the 2010 calendar a secret!

What’s all the fuss about breasts anyway? Adolescent girls wait impatiently for them to appear, women get surgery to enhance their size, advertisers use them to sell products, men buy magazines featuring bare-breasted women.
It’s time that someone celebrated breasts in a way that is both beautiful and purposeful. Emilie Roberston and Nancy Davis have done just that by creating The Beauty of the Cause Calendar to raise funds for breast cancer research, services and treatment programs. The calendar features artwork by Sylvie Lalonde and photographs by Jen Davidson, along with the beautiful breasts of some of my breast cancer “thriver” friends.
